Considering the vintage-style ring will be everywhere in 2019, it should come as no shock that the halo-style setting is following closely behind, along with unique bands and bold diamond shoulders.
“For those who love white diamonds as the centre stone, cushion, oval and pear cut are beautiful and we love being creative with fancy shaped diamond shoulders, bold halos or intricate banding to make an individual and bespoke piece,” says Ely.
While you may only be able to picture a halo setting on a round stone, in actual fact, a halo setting can be added to any cut, and can be made up of unique shapes—such as kite shaped diamonds—rather than perfectly uniform stones.
The Zoe Report chimes in with several trends they think are going to be popular in 2019 one is colored gemstones. We would love to see this happen. We’ve done several diamond engagement rings with colored stone used as accent stones been doing that for the last 7 years. It hasn’t been that popular so we would love to see it take off.
